Aherla (Irish: An Eatharla) is a small village in County Cork, Ireland[1][2] with a population of about 450. It is in the townlands of Aherla More and Rathard. Aherla is built on a limestone shelf typical of the Cork ridges and valleys.
The area features many historical sites and is part of the parish of Kilmurry in the Dioceses of Cork and Ross.[3] The village is somewhat unusual by Irish standards as it has a Church of Ireland church, but no Catholic church. Despite this, the population of the village is still overwhelmingly catholic.

The Village of An Eatharlach (The Glen) is situated in the eastern part of Múscraí, south of County Cork. It lies half ways between Cork City and Macroom, each is approximately 20 km each way. Cloughduv and Crookstown are two and half and four miles respectively to the west, Farran 3.5 km to the north and Killumney 5 km at the Cork and Ballincollig side. The Village of Aherla sits between the hills that lie over the of the Bride river valley.
