Gottfried Weber (31 January 1899 – 16 August 1958) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a Generalmajor in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Gottfried Weber was captured by Soviet troops in May 1945 in the Courland Pocket. He was released in 1955 and in 1956 he joined the Bundeswehr. He died on 16 August 1958 in an auto-accident in Villach, Austria.
