KYAA (1200 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format. Licensed to Soquel, California, it serves the Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, and San Jose area. The station is owned by People's Radio, Inc.[1] The station formerly ran an Asian language format under the name "Radio Humsafar."

KYAA is being donated to IHR Educational Broadcasting, which will air its Immaculate Heart Radio Roman Catholic religion format. Immaculate Heart Radio already airs on KNRY in nearby Monterey, California, which has a much weaker signal. It is logical to assume that when the new format begins on KYAA, which is expected to be in late March/early April, 2013, that KNRY will be put up for sale.
