Nevada was admitted to the Union on October 31, 1864 and has been represented in the United States Senate by 26 people. Its current U.S. Senators are Republican Dean Heller (Class 1, serving since 2011) and Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto (Class 3, serving since 2017).
