Wyoming was admitted to the Union on July 10, 1890, and elects United States Senators to Class 1 and Class 2. Its current senators are Mike Enzi and John Barrasso.

As of October 2016, there is one living former Senator, one from Class 2. The most recent senator to die was Malcolm Wallop of Class 1 (1977-1995) on September 14, 2011. The most recent Class 2 senator to die was Clifford Hansen (1967-1978) on October 20, 2009. The most recently serving Class 1 senator to die was Craig L. Thomas (1995-2007), who died in office on June 4, 2007.
