Core Contents Media [edit]

Core Contents Media is Mnet Media's main entertainment management label. CJ's company GM Planning (now known as Mnet Media) acquired and integrated the three companies—MAXMP3, Poibos, and Mediopia. However, in order to reduce the size, a separate subsidiary was created. The current CEO of Core Contents Media is Kim Kwang-soo.

In February 2012, Core Contents Media took legal action against two companies in Southeast Asia for distributing their artists' music without permission.[1] A copyright infringement lawsuit was filed against them in December 2011 when Core Contents Media took matters to the police. The companies illegally distributed sixteen songs in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia,[1] which were found to be rearranged or re-recorded with other singers' voices.[1]
