A peripheral nerve sheath tumor (PNST) is a nerve sheath tumor in the peripheral nervous system.
Benign peripheral nerve sheath tumors include schwannomas and neurofibromas.[2]
A malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is a cancerous peripheral nerve sheath tumor.
