The Pittsburgh Force is a women's American Football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are currently a member of the National Conference (Division 4) of the Women's Football Alliance. Home games will be played at William V. Campbell Athletic Field in nearby Munhall. They play an eight game regular season schedule.

The Pittsburgh Force is a women's American Football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are currently a member of the National Conference (Division 4) of the Women's Football Alliance. Home games will be played at William V. Campbell Athletic Field in nearby Munhall. They play an eight game regular season schedule.

The Force are one of two Pittsburgh teams in the WFA, the other being the Pittsburgh Passion.

In the early planning stages, the Force was originally planning to play in the National Women's Football Association, but after the NWFA folded, they decided to join the WFA.

History[edit]

In 2008, the Force was founded by owner Kathy Ferrari and Felicia Mycyk. Robert Gold was selected as the team's head coach. They held tryouts at Ambridge, Cranberry, and Chartiers Valley for their inaugural 2009 season. In 2012 the Force moved their home field to William V. Campbell Athletic Field in Munhall, Pennsylvania.
