Simon William Moore (born 19 May 1990) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Brentford.

Early career [edit]

Moore was at the Southampton academy earlier in his career,[3] before spending time with Brading Town[4] and Farnborough where he didn't make a league appearance.[3]

Brentford [edit]

Moore signed with Brentford in August 2009 after spending the summer at the club on trial,[3] but had to wait until May 2010 to make his debut, when he appeared against Hartlepool United as a substitute for the departing Wojciech Szczęsny.[5][6] In August 2010 he helped Brentford defeat Cheltenham Town in a League Cup tie.[7]

Basingstoke [edit]

He was loaned out in October 2010 to Basingstoke Town F.C. and played until January 2011, in 10 games for the club.[8]

International career [edit]

Moore played for the Isle of Wight in the 2009 Island Games.[5][9]

Personal life [edit]

Moore's younger brother Stuart, who is also a goalkeeper is currently in the Reading youth team.
