South Atlantic Intercollegiate Athletic Association

The South Atlantic Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SAIAA) was an intercollegiate athletic conference. The SAIAA was first formed in 1907 and remained active until 1921. The conference's membership was centered in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, with member schools located in the states of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, as well as the District of Columbia.

The conference disbanded in 1921, and six of its schools became founding members of the Southern Conference alongside eight former members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA). Those six SAIAA schools were: Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Washington & Lee (except for the latter, all are now in the Atlantic Coast Conference).^[1]
