Subversive Film Festival is a film festival to be held in May in Cinema Europe, Zagreb, Croatia since 2008. The festival is divided in two frames: theoretical part with conference and film screenings.[1] The festival is especially popular because of its panels and public lectures that have hosted many prominent intellectuals. The festival deals with cinemas of post-colonial countries,[2] social changes, and social inequality. According to the organizers, the Subversive forum has become "one of the key European mobilisation points for activists and intellectuals from the region and the world, thinking jointly how to build better social systems”[3]
