WBRN (1460 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Big Rapids, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in 1953.
WBRN rebroadcasts on FM translator W299BE at 107.7 MHz in Big Rapids, which makes WBRN the first AM station in Michigan to add an FM translator. The March 2008 addition of W299BE had formerly simulcast sister station WYBR. Mentor Partners also holds a construction permit for a translator at 95.1 FM W236BR in Reed City, which would most conceivably be used to relay WBRN, although WYBR is listed as the primary station on the application.
